ANNE LODGE, Ph.D.
Dr. Lodge currently leads Astarte Biologics, a provider of reseach-grade human immune cells. She has a broad background in cell based therapeutics and GMP operations. Dr. Lodge received her Ph.D. in Cell and Molecular Biology from the University of Vermont wher her thesis work examined the activation of CD4+ and CD8+ T cells by vascular endothelium and revealed the importance of endothelial cells in triggering organ rejection. After completing her graduate work, she received a postdoctoral fellowship from the Multiple Sclerosis Society to study at Vanderbilt in the lab of Dr. Subramaniam Sriram. There she studied T cells from MS patients to determine their role in the disease process. Dr. Lodge was later employed at Northwest Biotherapeutics, Inc in a number of different roles where she contributed to the Investigational New Drug filings for the company’s dendritic cell vaccines.

Chris Jacob is an intellectual property attorney with knowledge in regulatory compliance, litigation, patent prosecution, as well as “freedom to operate”. He was previously general counsel for Sangretech Biomedical. He completed his B.S. in Biology from University of Washington in Seattle, Washington, and his J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law.
